At Modern Elevation, we want every step of your shopping experience to feel exceptional. Our exchange, return and refund policy is designed to be clear, fair, and easy to use, so you can order with total confidence.

Eligibility

  • Exchange or return requests must be submitted and approved within 7 days of delivery
  • Items must be unworn, unaltered, and returned in original condition, as well as shipped with a valid tracking number, and tracking must show carrier acceptance.
  • Customers are responsible for selecting the correct size and style at the time of purchase. While we cannot offer free returns for sizing changes, we may be able to assist with an exchange depending on availability and current processing timelines.
  • Socks and insoles are not eligible for exchange or refund due to hygiene and health considerations.

Exchanges

If a product did not meet expectations, most customers choose to exchange their product(s) to get the right fit.

  • Return Shipping: Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. Items being sent back must be shipped with a valid tracking number and show carrier acceptance. Items without valid tracking or not received are not eligible for exchange.
  • Restocking Fee: There is ZERO restocking fee applied to approved exchanges.
  • Replacement Items: Exchange orders follow the same processing and shipping timelines as the original order. Items will only be shipped to the original shipping address used at checkout.
  • One exchange per order is permitted and is limited to the same style in a different size, subject to availability. Once an exchange is completed, the replacement item is final sale and not eligible for return or refund.

Returns (Refunds)

Refunds are available for eligible returns and are processed after inspection.

  • Return Shipping: Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. Items being sent back must be shipped with a valid tracking number and show carrier acceptance. Items without valid tracking or not received are not eligible for return. 
  • Restocking Fee: A 15% restocking fee will be deducted from the refund to account for order fulfillment, inspection, processing, and logistics costs associated with returned items.
  • Refunds: Refunds are issued after the returned item is received and inspected. 
  • Complimentary Items: If your order included a complimentary item, it must be returned with the original purchase to receive a full refund. If the complimentary item is not returned, its retail value will be deducted from the refund.
  • Original shipping fees are non-refundable, as shipping is a service fulfilled once an order has shipped.
  • Refused or undeliverable shipments are treated as returns and remain subject to applicable restocking fees and non-refundable shipping costs.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If you receive a defective, damaged, or incorrect product, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photos.

  • We will provide a prepaid return label and issue a replacement or full refund at no additional cost.
  • No restocking fees or shipping charges apply to confirmed defects or fulfillment errors.

Delivered Items & Carrier Placement

  • Once a carrier marks an order as delivered to the address provided at checkout, Modern Elevation is not responsible for delivery placement decisions (e.g., location on property, mailbox vs door) or for packages that go missing after delivery. Carrier placement issues do not constitute merchant error for purposes of refunds or exchanges.

Final Sale & Other Conditions

  • Socks and insoles purchased on their own are final sale and not eligible for return or exchange.
  • Complimentary items included with an order are subject to the return terms outlined above.
  • We do not offer price adjustments for promotions or discounts after an order has been placed.
  • Orders placed with a multi-item promotional discount (e.g., Buy 2, Get X% Off) are subject to discount recalculation upon partial return. If one item from a qualifying pair is returned, the remaining item will be repriced at its standard retail value, and the difference will be deducted from the refund.
  • We reserve the right to limit or deny returns or exchanges in cases of excessive or abusive return activity.
